So how does the VFS Controllers work? In many agricultural and industrial applications pumping water is a major expense and contributor to Demand charges on your electric bill.  In addition, in many areas utility companies require Agriculture to shut down during periods of high energy demand (i,e Summer) to meet residential energy requirements.  When this happens the alternative is to use diesel tractors with large impellers and manual labor to move water which is extremely expensive but most operators have no choice as they must move water for crops or animals.
